The Million Dollar Quest

Our first project is David's Art-website. He started this website in 1998, and it was a modest success. Since january 1999 he tries to make some money with this, but our Greed-O-Meter only shows the money he made as of may 1, 1999, the official start of the Million Dollar Quest.

This project is the most successful contributor to The Million Dollar Quest. It attracts about a 100 visitors a day, and there are about 50 pages linking to this website. The website consists of about 15 pages, hosting advertisements provided by pay-per-click companies Burst! and Value Click. At the moment I am writing this, this website had generated about 50% of our total revenues so far. Although that kind of money can be earned by flipping burgers for a day, we are very proud to have earned it in 10 months!
Note how difficult it must be to earn some serious cash by joining pay-per-click programs. This art website earns about 10 dollar per 1,000 unique visitors, but David had to paper his pages with banners for that. So if you want to make a 1,000 dollar a month with this kind of activity, you must create a website that will attract over 90,000 unique visitors every month! That's about 3,000 visitors every day!
